Most HTC WP Devices will need an OEM upgrade from HTC in order to move forward with the next upgrade for the developer preview(DP) on windows phone.
According to Microsoft an OEM driver will be needed to move forward with any further updates from the DP on windows phone. The bigger question is when HTC will be releasing the update for Windows Phone. Many users are expressing frustration in many forums with the lack of transparency that HTC has shown regarding the release of the 8.1 update for their Windows Phones.
What do you guys think does this bode well for HTC’s re-entry into the Windows phone Market. Will this affect purchases of the HTC W8?
